On Wednesday, September 11, and Thursday, September 12, 2024, ARCHITECT@WORK took place for the tenth time at Rotterdam Ahoy. With 3,630 visitors, the event was as dynamic as ever.
During the lectures at ARCHITECT@WORK, a vision of the new building culture we are heading towards was outlined. This culture combines building with wood and other fibers strategically with building with earth (Studio Nauta), reuses as many building components and materials as possible (Nudus), manipulates simple building materials to create detailed and tectonic architecture (Bovenbouw), integrates nature around, on, and within buildings (Copijn Landscape Architects), and shapes urban fabrics to bring people together, even in high-rise structures (VMX Architects).
ARCHITECT@WORK alternates between Rotterdam and the Amsterdam metropolitan region. After this edition in Rotterdam Ahoy, ARCHITECT@WORK will once again take place in Amsterdam next fall.
