Vertical forests
Every social housing unit in the 19-storey Trudo Tower has its own tree on the balcony. This means 125 trees in 125 homes. This is supplemented by more than 5,000 plants. A true vertical forest that Stefano Boeri Architetti designed together with Inbo at Strijp-S in Eindhoven. Since the completion of Bosco Verticale in Milan, the firm has worked throughout Europe on greening the urban environment. The chosen solution varies greatly from project to project. Sometimes the greenery is concentrated in an inner garden or roof garden, sometimes more on the façade, as is the case with Wonderwoods in Utrecht, which the bureau is currently working on in collaboration with MVSA Architects.
